I find these days I spend less time coding and I end up with better applications because I think through the design before coding. At the risk of going off-topic; every new/kinda-new/wish they were new engineer can learn volumes

I've read that this is also true in the sense that many young players are opting out of physical sports. Coaches are complaining that the kids don't want to play a game they can't reset when it's not going well for them.

I've heard how Amex can be from a friend who has them as a client. They refuse to let her host their instance of her product on AWS because Amex's security team supposedly hasn't vetted AWS yet. This despite the kinds of cu

Same here. I deleted my account four years ago and haven't missed it one bit. I think people would be surprised at how much they don't need Facebook. That said, I also don't want to be using it in my workplace and will ve

I think its a perfectly valid part of the discussion. Facebook holds a great deal of power with the kinds of personal data they possess so I don't have a problem whatsoever holding them to the highest standard possible when it comes t

For most people, the thirteen years from age 19 to 32 involves a great deal of maturity and in many respects I imagine the same applies to him. But if he started out as somewhat unscrupulous, what evidence do we have that the pressures of

I use Tower on Mac daily. I initially recommended SourceTree for the Windows users in my team (they were all new to Git) but after using it with one of them I rescinded that recommendation. It is awful. If Tower for Windows is anything li

I have to disagree. In my experience, the frameworks get me to 80% completion but I'm not spending the next 20% on achieving completion. I'm spending orders of magnitude more than that fighting the framework, trying to make it f
