Goaccess is amazing and, in a world where seemingly every technology touts itself as "lightweight" (whether they really are or not), truly is very light weight.

I don't think the suggestion is to not hire based on skill but rather to ignore age as any kind of requirement for the position.

I’m really looking forward to the Red v1.0 release. It is a fork of Rebol that has a lot of potential. I’ve never seen a language (both Rebol and Red) that allows you to get so much done so succinctly while still being easy to read.

Untrained or poorly trained managers. The lack of solid leadership that exists in organizations of every size is stunning to me. The jobs I've had where I was my most productive was when I had quality managers leading the department.

I agree that business leaders have to answer for their actions. But that is clearly not what is happening at these inquiries. The CEO of Equifax was called to one when they had their major security breach last year. What came of that? C

It's kind-of Congress' own fault here. They so often have these... events, that are mostly for show and for the politicians to grandstand making them seem tough to voters but really have very little substance. I doubt any meanin

Has anyone compiled a list of alternatives to Amazon? I’m not expecting a one-stop-shop where I can buy everything like at Amazon. But a list of online retailers who are better than Amazon at specific categories of products. Because I’m at

You're getting downvoted but after 20+ years of writing web applications I have to agree with you. This stuff is a mess.

Back in the mid-90's I had an HP 486 PC and printer (can't remember the model number) that both worked pretty well, all things considered. Now we have an all-in-one HP printer/fax/scanner/copier that gets me closer

It's great that you guys are receptive to these issues but I can't help but wonder if, instead of solving this with what is clearly unpopular technology, we all would have been better off if Google had encouraged better practices?

In my experience, the developer time it takes to get a serverless application running (on AWS anyway) far exceeds the benefits that serverless brings. We spent over six months on a project written in serverless that we could never really g

This is similar to my experiences with getting blood drawn. About two-weeks prior to the draw I would watch a couple of videos on YouTube of blood draws each night. By the time the day came, I was still anxious but fine. I've been to

We found that the further we got into using different services the more difficult local development became. I just assumed that, as in the old days of web development, we would be forced into not being able to do local development at all.
