It's the first time in history we get to experience such insanity in real time and know, minute by minute, what's going on in these monsters' heads. The total dehumanisation of their victims, the hubris, cold, calculated crue

You may not want to rely too much on `beforeunload` events though as it is unreliable on mobile, a good practice if you want to send analytics if to listen to the page visibility: document.addEventListener('visibilitychange',

I mean, of course they would say that. Europol's job would probably be a whole lot easier if they had access to all conversations, media, live feed of webcams from all devices of all European citizens with unlimited history. Think of a

It's pretty clever optimization, it actually only shows a few dozens images at all times and only update the groups as you zoom in, for example https://tiles.onemillionscreenshots.com/2024-05-01/tiles/-1/

Is there any serious investigation or a good article that explain how these ID check laws got simultaneously rolled out in the UK, EU and Australia? As well as the main payment processors heavily restricting adult content? It seems like the

We lost our individual sense of agency long ago, we need a nanny state to take care of us and of our children, hold us by the hand and regulate every single aspect of our lives. We gave the keys to our leaders, now they get to choose what c

I'm always surprised at how "easy" it is to pressure litteral billion-dollars companies like Visa and Mastercard, don't they make "fuck you money"? How are you even going to cancel them? They're hegemonic.

Absolutely agree, the Remix/RR7 move was awkward and they have a thing for breaking changes, TanStack seems more reasonable on that part.

Please stop recommending Next.js as the de facto React framework, we need some critical thinking back into front-end. Remix (React Router v7) or TanStack are much better alternatives.
