Seriously this is not getting the attention it deserves. This is a huge achievement. When they started out the world looked a lot different but despite all the doubts and pressure from Microsoft they managed to pull this off.

Kinda getting sick of Minecraft. All those clones and remakes. Plus I don't understand my Notch is so highly praised. On the one hand he claims to be an indie dev champion but turns around and makes lucrative exclusive deals with Micro

This game has an incredible potential for broken promises. I predict bad review scores, howls of request for refunds, and the lead developer putting out blogs in the vein of "sorry, we should do better. Expect free updates that will fi

Okay fair enough. No I don't know. It's just what I heard. From what I have understood in the limited knowledge I have of X11, it seems to have no true full screen support, unnecessary layering due to it's legacy client-serve

Video on dual-screen setups is a bit wonky. Yes it's my fault for using crappy proprietary ATI drivers but try to explain that to someone new to Linux. I have two issues with sound: 1) Sticking my headphone connector to my laptop'

Video, sound, competing standards (which will hinder adoption), antiquated X11. Also when a full-screen X11 overlay (like a game) freezes then the whole desktop freezes (CTRL+ALT+F1 doesn't help). A Linux enthousiast will forgive these

Yes but aren't those articles written for their specific Linux images? For example their Ubuntu image comes with an active root user and a bunch of other things preconfigured. I wonder how useful those articles are for people using the

Cool. Does this integrate with Visual Studio / ASP.NET MVC ? Otherwise this is a non-starter for me.

Wasn't HTTP 2.0 a complete failure? I thought it was already obseleted.

I will admit: I've never liked Minesweeper. My problem is that I never 'got' it. I don't have the desire to play the game at all. Maybe I'm not smart enough.

.NET and C# are the brainchild of Anders Hejlsberg, the creator of Delphi who moved from Boland to Microsoft. Kinect was invented by an Israeli company before being bought out by Microsoft. Your point still stands though :-)
