Thanks for these links. Do they make kits for soundbars? I'd like to get something short to put in front of the TV and it feels like I should be able to make something. I guess the problem would be integrating ARC into it. Edit: neverm

This is beautiful. Seeing all of this AI art has me very interested in a way that I've never been since I started programming decades ago.

It's funny, every company I've worked at that has a quarterly earnings report managed to have deadlines, sometimes soft-ish.

I'm getting 62 bytes over the network and 31.4 kilobytes uncompressed. This page has more content than most pages I visit that are megabytes in size. I wish there was an incentive to go back to smaller web pages in general.

What's crazy is that this problem was solved a long time ago. The Palm Pre had gesture-based navigation and while some of it had to do with the screen size being smaller, there was a focus on navigation from the bottom in applications.

So was Apple being disingenuous this whole time about privacy? Presuming they plan on using all the data they capture from their users iDevices for their ad platform. Is there a way to opt out of that?

It must be mostly backend stuff. It feels like the website itself barely evolved over the past several years.

Well put. I absolutely loved my CE work in university. I loved doing digital logic design, living in state machines, and programming in VHDL. I loved how highly deterministic it all felt. I loved the Mentor Graphics software and seeing a vi

My one memory of the Secchi disk was when I took Earth Science during summer school one year. We went to a park by the bay and one of my classmates slowly lowered it into some murky water. He then proceeded to drop it in the river. The poor

I remember people online saying that automation and AI will free up our time to be creators instead of consumers. Looks like that's in jeopardy now. I guess back to consuming content for me. I feel like this could be one of the biggest

Question for you since you seem knowledgeable about React state management. When I did a lot of back-end programming in Java we frequently coded to interfaces where we could swap out back-end implementations for ORM for example if needed. T

Some still exist: ResetEra, NeoGAF, and anonymous ones like DC Urban Moms. I think a lot of car forums are still in the old format you describe. Also, sportsball message board culture is still big.

It’s astounding that someone new to Linux has to wrap their head around all of that. It actually kind of makes it like a cool, secret club.

It seems like companies do this because the stakes are so high to them. That is, if you hire this person and they fail, they will somehow do serious damage to the company. If you do this at a large enough scale, then you are putting the com

The biggest downside to SPAs are that a lot of retail eCommerce companies seem to have built average SPAs. I've run into cryptic error messages when trying to do some kind of transaction ranging from mundane (buying toilet paper) to hi
