You're equivocating between your stereotype of nihilism and what "real nihilists" "should" do to be considered a nihilist. Nihilism != depression, even if there is overlap, and it's useful to let the words have

Seems like a weirdly stringent test for nihilism. If a nihilist believes there is no meaning in living but also no meaning in dying, why would they default to dying? A lot of built-in taboos (e.g. against bodily damage) make living a "

I have no particular opinion on Guam or its governance, but if Chamorus are a minority of the people living there (& a minority of the people born there?) it feels kind of unfair for them to unilaterally make major decisions and remove

The actual cause of the overlap is probably due to [generational] poverty; diversity itself doesn't cause crime. I have no idea where you even read that in my comment. I'm trying to point out that it is beneficial to some groups t

My bad! Didn't see that before submitting. (For anyone reading this comment, the article is from March 2020). This is my first submission & I don't see age in the submissions guide; is there a specific way I should indicate it

Can you add a source for this? I've been able to find plenty of resources about dangerous SF areas, but not a news article on restricted public services there. Would be super interested in learning more

I think the trouble is the overlap of high-crime and high-diversity areas. Say you're sending an armored vehicle into a high-crime area and it's reasonable protection. Someone writes a news article about having expensive & spe

I was interested and looked it up. For anyone else that cares, Unihertz is a Chinese company. I'll probably add it to Huawei in my mental "avoid" bucket for the foreseeable future.

There doesn't seem to be a way to search YT videos (except videos you yourself post) by exact length. I got 21 min 45 seconds. Looking up "3000 second timer" on YT got me close (only 4 seconds out), but not exact. Do you have
