It's frankly infuriating when you get generic responses from someone who has no internal systems access, means to address the problem, or ability to escalate to an engineer. Often these purported super users reply with silly generic su

I'm pretty much the NetBSD people focus on building to as many system architectures as possible (slogan: "of course it runs NetBSD!). OpenBSD is focused on system security. It's understandable why they take different approach

Most likely related to BGP, they probably made an erroneous change leading to routing errors. These things are hard to fix and have been known to happen in big tech. You can see a flood of BGP announcements the time it started: https:/

When you play online on this locked down device, you usually end up crossplaying with PC players who have the ability to run exploits, making any anti-hacking arguments baseless. Turn off crossplay and you don't find games with reasona

Yikes , that's embarrassing for me. Thanks. I had checked the link but I didn't notice the post was 2002 as opposed to 2022.

I fear such a service may simply tread the same path as Wikia. Also, any hosting platform has to balance user control over extensions and customisations, on the one hand, with system reliability on the other. You can't easily delegate

Mullvad looks like one of of the best VPN providers out there. However the use of a customised Linux Kernel and Ubuntu distribution gives pause for thought. Are they going to be able to integrate security patches quickly? Wouldn't it b

Very odd indeed. In Australia, government departments almost always use .gov.au unless there are exceptional reasons. In the States, it is .[state].gov.au, eg .nsw.gov.au.

My work uses Microsoft SSO for everything. Passkeys aren't enabled though. And management won't enable them on Azure AD. Instead, they enable the tried and tested and ultra secure method of SMS based 2FA with a password. (This is
