I think my main question is: how honest should I be? Not about getting emotional or anything, but if I have real concerns and my work is actually good, is there a reason I shouldn't be 100% direct?

Nothing in writing. Everyone's saying I should just drop it, but I'm thinking I should try to salvage the situation by dropping the ideas guy and coming to a formal agreement with the angel investor.

It's personal finances, I'm broke. I should leave? But then what, they gave me money and I still own the code. If I took the code it'd be unethical, but I believe in the project and don't want to let it go.
