I was surprised that we got in and shocked that they put so much time into the article. I can't believe it makes economic sense to put so much into such a short write-up, but I guess it does for The Times. Together my wife and I check

We used a high-end wedding planner, and when we asked her what to do for the NY Times announcement, she told us to submit via the form on the website. Maybe she pulled some strings behind the scenes, but it seemed to us that she had no pull

I don't have any stats, but I know that very few of those who submit are selected. My wife and I received a long form write-up (just under 700 words). The process started with our submission on the website, but then we got a call from

I wonder if there will be any special treatment for gifts (I'm guessing there won't be). My mom has bought me many books. She probably has no interest in having the Kindle versions of them, but I definitely do.

My Dad was part of the Lyme Disease vaccine trials. He ended up receiving the placebo, but was then given the option to get the actual vaccine and he took it. If I remember correctly, it didn't last that long, so it has almost certainl

I'm not sure how hard it would be, but I wonder if you could turn these suggestions into a script. I'm sure a lot of people would pay $10 (just throwing out a price point) for an app that allows you to quickly setup a computer for an extrem

Yeah, I was pretty certain right after it happened that I had sustained hearing damage, but after hearing myself speak I was happy to realize that I hadn't. I've had quite a few thunderstorms come up on me while I was fishing. The one that

This is great advice. I had a very close call last year, and have made it a point to ensure that it never happens again. My Dad and I were on a fishing trip in Michigan and floating down the river with a guide in a long, canoe-like river bo

Click tracking on links. Obviously, it only works if your users click.

On my list of about 11,500, just under 400 people have "opened never" but have clicked at least one link. So it's a pretty small number. I'd be you can just about double it to get the total number of opens that haven't been tracked.

That's why you send a warning e-mail. You could also opt them down to a weekly digest instead of daily e-mails. One good thing about Sailthru is that it you can track all clicks on links. So if you have a user with no opens and no clicks ov

I've heard stories that Heinz is so defensive of their brand that they send out "Ketchup Inspectors" to make sure restaurants aren't refilling Heinz bottles with lesser ketchup. This is the only somewhat legitimate source that I could find:

Don't forget to do a reconsideration request after you use the disavow tool. You'd be better off getting rid of the links, but that might be difficult.

The .edu blog comment spamming isn't going to help. I just did a quick look on Open Site Explorer, and your link profile looks super shady. You're setting yourself up to get Penguined if you aren't already.

I've always thought that there should be a startup that both sells used books and "rips" books for you. You buy the used version for a couple of bucks, pay a couple of bucks for them to "scan" it, and you get a PDF and they destroy the book

What kind of bloggers? Bloggers in general is a huge category. I am a blogger. My blog is my business. SEO drives a lot of revenue. I sometimes embed videos from 3rd parties in my posts. What questions can I answer for you?

Indeed is one of my business' main revenue streams, so I was relieved to see that they'll be kept as a wholly owned subsidiary. The rumor last night was that LinkedIn was going to buy Indeed, and that scared the crap out of me.
