I don't think it's the lone anti-feature that causes this "ludicrous, lazy" thinking. Apple software is absolutely full of inflexible, careless and/or poorly conceived anti-features. Not to worry though, it only took them 20 years to decide

"Nearly all configuration files are in one of two places" That's entirely incorrect. There are many, many programs out there that do not follow the convention.

"fixed client behavior" What _isn't_ fixed client behavior on the web? Browsers don't just interpret HTML any which way that they want to.

How has Windows changed more drastically than OS X since 2001? To me drastic means that something very basic has changed and/or compatibility has been lost. (Things like resizable windows, full screen apps, broken finder plugin compatibilit

Sorry, but I disagree that this is a must-have. Resharper slows VS down immensely and adds way too much cruft in my opinion.

Hanlon's razor (aka "cock-up before conspiracy") is nothing more than an opinion. Whether we should regard selfishness as malice or not is beside the point, but it is quite clear to me that people in general often act out of selfishness!!

I run Windows 7 in Boot Camp every day and it easily outperforms OS X on the same exact hardware for most common tasks (browsing files, the web, starting up apps, etc). The Windows desktop GUI system is more stable than anything else out th

Exactly which feature do you think can't be had by Windows developers for free? I suppose you could argue that "oh, with Apple I get it all in one package..." Big deal. You also have to buy an overpriced PC to run OS X and you can't even ru
