Why not read the post? Because you are technically wrong. It’s about iCloud backups containing the decryption keys. iMessages are backed up encrypted.

I don't get it: How do credit scoring companies in the EU even get access to browsing data or my search history? Wasn't the GDPR introduced to prevent data sharing like this in the first place if I don't explicitly opt-in to

The value of Google Maps is real-time traffic data, because this affects navigation heavily. Osm is nice for biking and walking, but not for driving by car.

It depends on the software. Is it an isolated thing? Then yes, you can continue to use it. But apps that read from APIs or scrape data are one version away from not functioning at all. Hence, regular updates. Hence, subscriptions to justify

Cordova predates Electron. Webapps in a WebView container were on iOS first and still have quite a market share. This has nothing to do with payments.

No OP, but yes. I expect that my emails can be read and that my files on a cloud service can be accessed. And I don’t even use Gmail. I expect that my ISP tracks and stores my DNS resolutions (if I use their DNS) and has a good understandin

I guess B2C has some advantages. If you have 10,000 customers, you have no boss, only an obligation to deliver a good product that most/all of them like. One single customer can't make you go broke, just because you don't imp
