Because it is safer. With Wordpress and other execution environments your attack vectors will increase. Why would I use Wordpress if all I need are some static sites and maybe a form? I would rather use a form handler that processes data th

Of course you probably don't want to correlate that but the fact these apps are battle-proven for so many years is a good sign if you search for something stable that you can rely on. Probably even in decades to come. There is many cre

Probably like musicians and a lot of them use platforms to publish their songs to listen to for free to gain momentum and attract enough people who will be delighted to get a Vinyl (in case of books it would be a hard cover). When I persona

When did wealthy people care for this? Wealth means you can buy nearly anything and that includes people who found a non-profit so one can use them to get to entities like WMF. The scariest scenario in my opinion is their growing influence

I am going back to the 90ies. In my opinion it was much easier to block those popups etc. as they've not been as invasive as the current malware. Of course back then there was already stupid things as well but it scaled and got a lot w

I've been there & have done that, thank you ;) For my own services it's okay to host them from home but "the web" just doesn't work like this anymore. Do something big and you'll want to get things like DDo

In this case they should have done their market analysis properly I think. One of the USP's for Apple devices for me always was the quality of materials and production. Weakening this point of reference by opting for poor quality mater

I basically concur but not all of us can just "flick a switch" here. The most of my customers still need a lot of "obsolete" connectors as well as my devices which I won't replace just because they have no USB-C yet

Your welcome :) Yes it seems to be difficult sometimes though I have to admit I also jump the gun from time to time when certain topics or phrases trigger me. Out of curiosity: was it a conscious decision for France and against Germany or d

Thank you very much for this sentiment. I think so, too and while I enjoy to discuss my views in an pseudo anonymous way here there seem to be people who are even now afraid to join a fair discussion. Maybe they hope to make me shut up but

Then you should talk to people who where actually living there and you will be surprised. Also a look at statistics helps to get rid of this too positively drawn picture. As I said they even fake some numbers to let it appear to be better n

It is an arms race and it is the right time for the industry to use the growing fear and demand for security in the global population to make some extra $$$ (just seen from a purely economical point of view of course). I agree that it is pr

Of course we can do better than neoliberalism (and this does not lead to communism or socialism automatically). In Europe they have some interesting models in between that provide social security, health care and a lot of other great things
