There was some server company I can't remember the name of right now (bare metal or something?)that offered roughly rasppi sized servers for rent from them- they weren't offering it yet, but they said you should be able to buy the

You can just imagine the circumstances that led up to that being made. I suppose there is a market for weatherproof server racks nowadays with all these pesky kids and their gosh-darn cellphones at camps. The dataloo: https://upl

I actually read your thing a long while ago too! I took it a step further, and made a small coil and amp, and played the recorded data back through the coil, and placed the coil next to a one-track card reader. It actually worked, which was

Insult golf sounds kinda fun. Try to come up with the most insulting thing possible in the least characters. On a more serious note, I agree with you. There's some alarmist reactions to things like this, but in reality I don't thi

Seriously, a 12% increase in a low number is not even statistically relevant. As it so often is, there is a relevant xkcd: https://xkcd.com/1252/

The whole recent controversy has been strange in general. There's this incredibly pervasive sense that the management in general is completely disconnected from the community, only stepping down from on high to dish out shadowbans. I d

There was one website that got posted here a while ago [1] where everyone that's looking at it is hosting it- if everyone stopped looking at it, the page would die. A neat concept. [1] http://ephemeralp2p.durazo.us/2bbbf

According to some of the amazon reviews, it doesn't work within 50 feet. I suspect it does in fact use GPS, as 50 feet would be far enough that you're going to be somewhere in the frame. Couple that with just measuring the delay t

That's golden. It's like social engineering SQL injection. Fun stuff! I wonder if there's any sort of sentence you can make that isn't actually "xbox shut off" but is interpreted by the xbox as such.

As far as I know, electric cars failed then because of the same problems we have now- power storage. As bad as LiPos are, what they had was even worse. It didn't help that gas engines had a lot of improvement possibilities then, and we

It's hard to write titles under the char limit, but the just of it is that the code appears to edit a user's browser history to include child porn and bomb blueprints, or something to that effect. It then edits the date and time t

I've toyed with the idea of it before- it's actually pretty easy to transcode files into images, and if you were more clever than I you could probably figure out how to use color to represent larger chunks of data instead of just
