Yup, it's been almost two months since I've originally messaged support about being unable to access my account. They said they would schedule a security interview, then never followed through. I don't know how it's lega

Not at all, Facebook does the best job out of any FAANG at promoting, and most E5+ are internal promoted. External E5 hires are less common, external E6 hires are rare.

At FAANG there's always an IC track and management track. Additionally, promotions are almost always lagging, meaning the individual needs to performs at that level for some time before being promoted.

I’ve done some research in the past trying to answer that question as well, and I concluded that there really wasn’t any, at least not any large ones. Ethereum allows decentralized smart contracts, but the value seems fairly limited. The mo

With only the industrial value of gold propping it up, its value would likely drop to 1/50th of the current price. So who cares about having a floor if it’s that low? If Bitcoin all of a sudden had a floor that was also 1/50th of

I've read a few Light Novels (no text bubbles, little to no pictures) that were machine translated, and they've all been horrible to read through - you could barely make sense of the sentences, and the whole reading experience bec

Governments usually have a single official currency authorized for paying taxes, but they rarely ban/criminalize foreign currencies from being used by the general public.

Our group played tonight for the first time too! Not sure what you mean by cycled through your deck multiple times, but if you meant all in 1 turn, then you definitely didn't play correctly. Any action cards that are played are put in

Most developers are working for companies which pay them salaries, so likely those app generate more than $200/yr. I would say only ~5% of developers. If the question was worded, what % of apps generate < $200/yr, then I would

The whole point of Bitcoin is that it isn't controlled by any one country and that more can't be printed whenever the country wants. Any new currency or "coin" that a country develops completely misses the mark, and is l

According to this article: https://decrypt.co/28560/quantum-computers-could-crack-bitco... It looks like you need a lot more qubits than the most powerful quantum computer we have now. Also, it's fairly trivial fo

Writing to the block should be expensive. But there won't be a problem because it'll only be used to settle Lightning Network transactions very infrequently, and could be massive amounts... not for small transactions.

If the dev tools, docs and tech debt are bad and slow the entire team down, then why not take it as an opportunity to improve them? At FAANG doing things that have a multiplicative effect across the team/several teams/entire org&#

It's a lot harder for junior engineers since the market is saturated at entry level. I'm a senior engineer, and I feel I get a 80%+ response rate.

The primary reason I don't use them is they have 0 customer service, it's impossible to talk to a real person for help when your order gets screwed up or your driver is a no show (happens a lot). UberEats app is somewhat buggy too

Bitcoin block transactions are terrible for microtransactions, since the amount of transactions that can be held are intentionally limited, which means higher fees. Lightning network is capable of solving the issue though, as these transact

I've definitely worked with engineers that are 10x slower or have extremely poor engineering practices: copy-pasting chunks of code, 8+ nested ifs, all code in one giant function, use of global variables throughout, clueless how memory
