Also, actual contract law is a lot more nuanced than what this post on Bob Loblaw's Law Blog will have you believe.

I don't care about this kind of stuff as much as a lot of people do. Hopefully they also start blocking China from buying up USA farmland and housing.

McDonald's has video cameras pointing at every inch of their property 24/7. All they need is a timestamp from the AP and they'll go find your license plate in the parking lot on the surveillance tapes.

Agree with migrations. I've spent a lot of time doing migration surgery to get things back into a consistent state. But mostly I've found that if you just let Django manage the database how it wants to then things will be fine.

Do you mean a cronjob that calls a Django manager command to do the work? Or invokes an API method? From my experience cronjobs have a lot of downsides as well. They're great for doing tasks local to the server the job is running on

What is the point of Zig? I mean, this looks approximately like code I would write in about a dozen other languages. So, what is this?

CGI was also a security nightmare full of footguns. Not that modern software isn't, but CGI was especially bad. - Take untrusted input and pass it directly to shell scripts on your filesystem. What could go wrong? - Executables in cg

I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow related to Aereo [1][2]. My understanding is they were mostly working out of Utah. Edit: For those unfamiliar, they set up an operation to re-broadcast (free) OTA TV broadcasts out-of-territor

I don't think locking down the account will do anything. It sounds like secrets were already stolen. GitHub access tokens, etc. Locking the account won't unsteal that stuff.

mlua is pretty much the standard for Rust at this point. There are a few others but they're not nearly as comprehensive and they all suffer from various safety issues that require unsafe{}. mlua doesn't require any unsafe usage

As with nearly everything in Lua, if you want bells-and-whistles then you need to find a library. I've been writing a lot of extensions in Rust using mlua [1] which has been fantastic. I've written so much FFI code for Lua it&#
