The woman's law firm is in active litigation with MSG Entertainment. She knows she's not allowed on the premises while the lawsuits are unresolved. They saw her and kicked her out. But this is a controversy because Girl Scout Mo

Depending on what your app is, I've found server-side rendering to be superior in nearly every way. I don't use Rails but Django is the same way. Django templates, bootstrap, jQuery and sprinkle in a little bit of HTMX here and

nah. We live in the real world where people make mistakes and need help to fix them. I would be fine with some kind of a KYC process to recover the account, but they have no such thing. Or I wasn't able to get to it at least.

I enabled 2FA on my account and then lost my phone and couldn't find where I saved the backup codes. I tried to contact their support to see what my options were but that was completely useless. Bots and canned responses. No humans

I think it's similar, but obviously not nearly as extreme, as doctors in Cuba being paid nothing and constantly trying to flee to the USA while there is a perception that Cuba has a good healthcare system. The practice and care itself

You're saying that if you're in a high enough tax bracket then you should pay the most to support everyone else's healthcare but have no right to access it yourself.

I don't I know I think it's kind of neat. Obviously this stuff is worthless but if people want it then who cares. Let them collect Donald Trump trading cards if they want to.

Severance is definitely not common in startups. They'll usually burn the cash right up until the very last investor says 'no more' and then call it quits. They might have one more pay period (or two) in the bank.

I've always thought of it as closer to an optimizing JIT compiler than just a regular translation of instructions to instructions.

Safari is pretty much the worst browser in existence. Basic technology like webrtc is absolutely riddled with bugs. It's so bad that most video chat services don't even support it.

I've seen this kind of thing a lot before and I'm saying that it's almost never needed. All you're doing is building your own bespoke indexing system on top of a database that is doing it (much better) already.

it's a huge waste of space and now you have to have triggers somewhere to keep the index field consistent. the database should be able handle case insensitive indexed lookups directly.

I ended up just getting a System 76 Meerkat computer for doing anything locally with LXC/Docker. Linux emulation in Windows or macOS is unbearably bad if you really need to do serious work.

I used to be a paramedic in a large USA city and worked either 4 10-hour shifts, or 3 14-hour shifts per week every other month. For instance: January (10 hr): * Mon: 8AM - 6PM * Tue: 8AM - 6PM * Wed: 8AM - 6PM * Thu: 8AM - 6PM
