I'm trying to understand better. You said "Thiel is on the record in many ways that would justify the GPs statement." And your support for this "on the record in many ways" claim was a single quote, "I no longe

This is an incomplete quote from a pro-freedom essay: https://www.cato-unbound.org/2009/04/13/peter-thiel/educatio... Edit: Also, that quote does not provide evidence that he is "on the record"

> Thiel is on the record in many ways that would justify the GPs statement. Thiel is on the record saying he would use the data to make health and security worse? On the record saying he would abuse access? AFAICT this is not true.

It's very fair to say that basically no one should be trusted with the large piles of data accumulated by various governments. But I would like to know why GP calls out Thiel specifically. Would they be just as mad at GovCloud?

Placing a bet based on insider national security information should be regarded as leaking. But the markets aren't the problem here.

If you spend any time on Wikipedia, you'll find that secondary sources from an existing list are always preferred. The mandate from the link in GP ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research ) ext

Look at the number of covid deaths in countries other than the US and consider updating your news diet.

So, this is obvious bullshit. LLMs don't do anything without an initial prompt, and anyone who has actually used them knows this. A human asked an LLM to set up a blog site. A human asked an LLM to look at github and submit PRs. A huma

My point is exactly that if it's 34%, then "far" is a misnomer.

I googled National Rally polling, top result: https://www.politico.eu/europe-poll-of-polls/france/

The article you posted said, "we just call them that because everyone else does". But there's also an obvious semantic fail when 34% of the electorate is "far right". This means (16% - half the moderate percentage)

I don't know about that party, but National Rally doesn't say that, and also polls around 34% of French people. So it remains that the Wikipedia "far right" definition is a very wide spectrum.

I think your definition is mostly fine, although deporting illegal immigrants is a moderate position, not near right. And I would agree with the other reply that Musk is not far right by that definition.

It might not break guidelines, but LLM's should not be regarded as sources of truth, and copy-pasting from them is about as interesting as posting the results of a google search.

To me what is noteworthy is that there's a canon at all. There's none for construction, or law, or medicine. There might be very small ones for politics and finance. The author is skeptical that the canon actually existed before p

433 was more of a statement/exercise in listening. It's interesting to explore the edges of what counts as music, but in practice, people can tell when something is music made for enjoyment by other people.

This supports my initial reaction. The "antichrist" indicators he points to are things like authoritarianism and homogenization, not burning bushes and bints with swords.
