I am not convinced. "Built in elements" are really a small part of what makes a web application, and in many cases are replaced anyway by custom solutions. In fact, html tags are now meant to only express the semantic of a portion

Do you really think that Bangladesh's problem is the "ankle deep water"? Honestly, I think the left has completely lost it. Let me elaborate very briefly: forty years ago, the left would have been concerned with people in the

Let me dream: how hard would it be to create a test that can be distributed by the billions on paper strips like a ph test? You take one every evening and by the morning it tells you if you can go out or not. Is it conceivable or (borderlin

The Italian government wasn't even that bad in this occasion. Italy's been the first western country to be badly hit, and given the exponential spread of the virus it had very little time to take absolutely unprecedented measures.

Especially the 2% figure holds when intensive care is available. But if you plan to let millions get infected at the same time, there won't be any intensive care- there will probably be no care at all.

I think that given the magnitude of the adopted measures it is understandable that they were decided in the course of a few days. Stopping a country of 60 million is no joke. I'm not sure about the panic, but it seems hard to avoid whe

I'm not saying healthcare is bad ("sloppiness" wasn't a good choice of a term). In fact it's very well organised. It's more that the Dutch seem to be extremely... relaxed, maybe a bit fatalistic, about illness.

Italy's patient 1 is 38 and was in excellent health before catching the virus (he ran two half marathons in a week just before getting sick). Then he spent 20 days in an ICU attached to a ventilator.
