Although I agree with you, I would avoid using phrases such as "trust me on that". Especially when discussing an issue that has generated vigorous debate. It weakens your argument, and only makes me trust you (and your point) less.

I'm not sure what your central statement is here. Are you criticizing the technorati for not explicitly mentioning different types of traffic in relation to their value, rather than just their popularity? That info isn't usually available

Fair enough. I just usually avoid recommending Crypto, due to its sheer size and density. At least until someone finishes Snow Crash -- if they're interested in more Stephenson, then I go to Crypto. What did you think of Anathem? I thoug

I second this one. It's more than just about code -- it's a multiple narrative that touches on 2 different WW2 stories, along with a modern tech narrative. Which all tie in together. It's awesome, but it's a bit overwhelming. I'm surprise

I think you should probably upgrade to the latest firmware if you're experiencing that kind of performance degradation. My friends that initially updated kept up to date, and they don't notice those issues much anymore (exact same problem

I don't even have a sufficiently updated firmware to take advantage of it. Still with my 3g, so the stories of horrible performance scared me right after the initial release with multitasking came out. Haven't updated my phone since then,

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if you were implicitly stating that the quality of E.S. isn't an issue, or if you were saying it how you clarified it. Thanks.

Are you of the opinion that enterprise software (not the other stuff, just what you interact with on a computer) is generally of a high quality? Or, are you suggesting that the other stuff is so awful that mediocre software isn't even rea

Please do not post articles multiple times, as it is deceptive and considered "gaming" the HN system. This is the same URL, posted by the same HN user (tomwaren) as http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2065125 .

Anyone else a little put off by the sentence, "To put that another way, if Google managed to scoop up just 2% of that industry they’d have more than doubled their revenue"? That sounds an awful lot like the refrain from naive entrepreneurs

I've seen loads of people who refer to polyphasic sleep as a solution to staying awake more. It strikes me as something of a myth. HN and reddit both talk about it a lot, so it was pretty easy to find a HN discussion to reference: http:/
