Give me some truly convincing reasoning, bitte ? Doesn't have to be long; succinctness, after all, is one of the forms in which power appears. > as always Or, of course, a link to another time you did.

1. Make that "109.237% of the time." I always go 110%. What's that, you say? Mathematically impossible? I used to think so too. Then one day I slept for 26.4 hours. 2. In completely unrelated web surfing occurring in totally different tabs

Yes sir, yessir, yezzir. Exactly what I'm trying to say. :D (Caution ahead: unnecessary detour...in the form of a light rant) Correlation is so, so often mistaken for causation. And unlike most logical fallacies, 'correlation vs. causation'

Finally! I've always hated that saying. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Nonsense. Just look at the types of individuals who gain access to absolute power. Either they're ruthlessly ambitious, men for whom the ends always justify the m

That's pretty cool of McCarthy to invite the kid over to his house in response to a cold email.

I'd like to point out that the methods employed here to survey the wages of prostitutes leave plenty of confounding variables in play. "Analyzing wage information on more than 40,000 escorts in the U.S. and Canada collected from a web site,

Right, of course. I didn't mean to imply that I thought it a mistake to be critical, just regretted and apologized for the manner in which I criticized. Thanks again, David.

>Don't they realize how dumb they look? I think this is the wrong question to ask. More like, "Do they care at all how they are perceived in the West?" And the answer to that question has to be a resounding "NO"-- and for good reason. A

I feel compelled to bring up what I believe to be a solid counterpoint to the "if you don't like Easy Mode, then just don't play it" mantra detailed in the post: Halo 3's Legendary Campaign vs. Halo 1 and 2's Legendary Campaigns. For those

Somewhat unrelated: After browsing around the site, I have to say I'm very impressed with The New Republic and the quality of its writers. I'm adding them to my list of must-read web sites at once! :)

This seems like a very muddled claim to me. I won't refute that there's some kernel of truth in there somewhere, but using anecdotal evidence to loosely tie one's own theory together rarely ends well, especially when one's claim would be be

I see the first part I suppose, but the second...really? The solution to that problem isn't better battery life, it's a better power cord.

Battery life is the most overrated of all laptop specs. How often are you really without an electric outlet? Other than an airplane or the occasional wifi-capable coffee shop (one without outlets, that is), I can't think of anywhere I'd be
