I really wish the first two Apple Silicon Airs didn't have this weird limit. Not because I need to connect two displays to mine — almost no one actually does. But even though since the M1 it's been an amazing, futuristic, freakish

Not who you asked, but where I live, the law prescribes three levels of severance pay (one to three months of pay, depending on your time with the company) for all layoffs. Obviously not if you get fired.

It still shows everything, the price of the app itself and the prices of all IAPs. The App Store sucks in many wonderful ways, but pricing transparency isn’t one of them.

There are tens of thousands of companies who continue to work that way. You don't hear about them often, because there's nothing to write about.

Interesting, either the store is selling you fake decaf, or there's really a whole bunch of other chemicals, other than caffeine, that can mess with your body. I have an unusually strong response to caffeine (a cup of coffee, strong te

Not who you asked, but I work full-time as a Ruby dev. Off the top of my head, I don't remember the order of arguments of the #reduce method block (it's the opposite of what Elixir uses), the exact syntax of the throw/catch m

No offense, but you can type “hypersonic” into your favorite search engine and be reading the explanation on Wikipedia, literally in less than five seconds.

Literally just register a domain, choose a popular mail provider and read their docs on how to use your own domain with them. It’s widely supported.

That’s exactly why I’m doing it. Most people don’t need a canary, they just want to be left the fk alone.

I see you’re getting downvoted, but that was my first, second and third thought when reading the article. It’s suspiciously hand-wavy about the technical details, things are repeated several times and it really does feel like the writer was

But you don’t have to, macOS, AFAIK, will always ask you before it reboots into the logo-and-progress-bar update screen. Even if you manually launch the update, after it finishes the Preparing stage, it will again warn you that the machine

Coding and testing JS with the help of ChatGPT is several multitasking levels above what I’d be willing to even try on a phone. Android, I assume? Big screen? BT keyboard even?

It's a regular mountain bike, one of the more offroady kinds — full suspension with generous travel, very nice all-purpose tires (Nobby Nic from Schwalbe), aggressive frame geometry. It is obviously not a commuter bike, but it isn&#x27

The country lies north of the Northern Tropic, which means that it gets less sun in summer AND significantly less sun in winter.

Actually 15 Pro has the A17 “Pro” SoC, while the regular 15 uses the last gen A16 Bionic (Bionic being the regular version). We don’t know whether the next regular iPhone will get the last-gen A17 Pro (which would be a little confusing), or

You don’t have to be an iPhone user to use the AI or Siri. And it’s not like they’re taking non-integration features away — if you’re happy with the current version, you’ll probably be happy with the next one, won’t you? I mean, I get the s
