I have a similar memory! I read about the problem in the book and worked on it for days, trying to solve it. I was in junior high at the time, and my math teacher spotted what I was doing. The teacher figured out quite quickly that it was i

Main work seems to be two years old from the github time stamps? The generation of images using GANs has improved a lot since then. It would be interesting to see what the latest and greatest methods can do given this data set.

When I lived in a dorm in Uppsala there was a girl there, an exchange student from China, and she purchased surströmming for cooking, thinking it was regular fish. So she opens up the can and, boom, smell. Still thinking it is fish (”Sweden

iPhone was released 10 years ago. We have insanely more capable screens, cpu:s, gpu:s, sensors. Find what's next and you will make a dent in the universe.

Yet another really impressive deep-learning result. From scanning the paper, the data-sets seems to be rather limited though (that's why the sentences are so contrived), so hard to use in real life situations at this stage. To me this

This is an interesting topic - I've read some good articles on it. It turns out that lithium ion batteries contains only quite little lithium. 1-2% of the weight _and_ value of the battery only. And there are multiple alternative sourc

I find it strange that articles such as this one states these two things at the same time: 1. Battery cost is falling and EVs will be as affordable as their gasoline counterparts in six years 2. It will take until 2030-2040 until the demand

There is a good episode of the podcast 'Econtalk' on this subject. My take-away from listening to that is that supply and demand and setting the price according to the supply would solve most of the world's water problem. Exc
