You are misunderstanding, avx10/256 adds nothing, all those instructions already exist under avx512. All avx10/256 does is create yet another target, would be better to unify under avx512(which already supports 256 & 128 regi

Game consoles have huge userbases that purchase games, thus the incentive to port is higher. You can also develop them from a Windows machine because all the tools are designed for that.. Mac userbase that purchases games is small, they ne

Game Porting Toolkit isn't good enough, as it seems to be only for testing, still have to rewrite a bunch of shit in Apples proprietary nonsense and deal with heavy handed code signing crap.

Might do better if swiveled it so all the upper 8 bits are stored contiguous, then all the lower 8 bits-- zstd likes bytes.

It would be easy, that tree is small compared to what I've seen the tree murderers get up to with redwoods.

That stat is made up because they ding natives for the cost of K12 education etc, thus making them look worse by comparison because they start out with a big negative value assigned to them.

I grew up in the area, those shores aren't tribal lands other than a few tiny bits. And most of it is already preserved shore/ocean, so this just appears to be a land grab attempt. I agree that this area should be protected, but g

The post seems like it is focused on some ancient version of C++, multiple of these papercuts aren't even valid today. * You can just write = default for those methods often enough, and having to implement these is extremely rare * use

It is written with intrinsics not ASM. Compilers understand intrinsics and can optimize around them, and CPUs evolve improved SIMD instruction sets at a snails pace. Intel doesn't even really support AVX512 yet for consumer hardware, a

I think major high densities cities such as SF & Chicago would benefit from banning cars, but outside of those places it makes little sense.

Well I grew up in the redwoods up in Humboldt, it is generally far to wet up there for a forest fire even occur, and if they do it doesn't spread much. I think flooding is a far more realistic, as that happens every winter. It has gott

Coastal redwoods do not depend on fire. You are confusing them with the giant sequoia.

I was also surprised they didn't mention it as it seemed like an obvious reason. Grandparents logically would be biased toward grandchildren via a daughter since odds of it actually being your grand child are higher. (maybe you say you

Maybe but maybe not.. the E cores on Raptorlake have two 3 wide decoders, apparently it can decode 6 instructions this way(though how often or reliably that is I don't think Intel has said).

For me nothing much has changed.. It is still a fairly slow and bloated site like always. Need to add lots of filters to block all the politic garbage people spew, and mute anyone that repeatedly does this. Same as always.

In English America refers to the US. If this was Spanish you would be correct, but pretty clearly English is the language being used. If you want to refer to both North & South America just add an 's', Americas.

We don't really use UTC in the US, so for most Americans it wouldn't actually tell them much of anything. EST & PST are the most common.

That is useful but sure would be even more useful if it let you define functions and call them. Also the output is pretty gross, wish it had an option for a statically typed language. Also wtf? It doesn't have sqrt? Have to write it in

60 minutes wasting time on MTG just means you shouldn't watch 60 minutes, not that free speech needs to be abandoned. Fox started the problem with our news, but now we have similiar outlets on both left and right doing it. Don't
