That makes sense seeing as Safari is the default browser on ever brand new Mac and Google Chrome has only been available on the Mac for a year.

When I estimated my costs Social Security was roughly $5,400.00 a year yet I keep hearing that when I get to retirement age that there won't be any Social Security left. This is a bad investment or we need to rethink the ways in which that

The intention of this post is to be polarizing and controversial in order garner traffic. It doesn't deliver on anything insightful or interesting.

When I saw the title of this article I thought it was going to be about removing CAPTCHAs in favor of higher conversion rates . . . even if it means more SPAM.

What's going to happen if I'm asked to fill out a CAPTCHA like one of these while I am browsing with Adblock on?

If you have Windows set to automatically update then "critical" updates will be install without prompting the user. However, when it attempts to install IE it will always as for the user's permission. I feel that it's a bit different than a

Pinning these "immersive app-like experiences" to the task bar sounds like one step back in terms of UI innovation. Having different webpages available from the task bar looks exactly like what I had with IE6 and multiple windows.

Browser updates from Microsoft have ALWAYS been opt-in and that is the reason you don't see the same adoption rates like with other browser manufacturers. As a web developer, it's my biggest gripe with Microsoft.

This article had nothing to do with actually USING either a Mac or PC and at the points where to glance at user experience the statements are speculative at best. Their definition of innovation is numbers on the back of a box.

I'm not making an argument about publishers and accessibility of textbooks. I'm just stating a fact that was overlooked in the article.

I know that most prices at Nordstrom end in .95 whereas Nordstrom Rack prices typically end in .97. They have a very liberal return policy so it's a simple way to encode where the product was bought so customers can't pass off outlet store

I was thinking more generally about downtown. I counted 10 between Belltown and Pioneer Square. But to your point, there are 2 Starbucks' directly on 1st; one in Pike Place and one just up from the ferry terminal.

I don't know why this got down-voted. It's mere speculation. If you know something about Google's software development practices that I don't, please chime in.

I like how they are listing businesses in the letterbox. Although, in that part of downtown Seattle there are 10 times more Starbucks than what they're showing in the video . . . and I'm not exaggerating.

You make it sound like they'll be fired if they don't use their new phones. I feel 99% confident that won't be the case. I'll give you an anecdote: Google employees got G1's on launch day and I know that my buddy gave his to his wife (a non

I guess this guarantees that the install base will be > 503. As someone who lives in Seattle and knows a lot of people at Microsoft it'll be interesting to see if they give up their iPhones so easily.
