Although I noticed (accidentally) that gif animated boobs seem to become more popular, that could be a thread to PNG domination.

I guess to die 99,32% is not dying at all, so you actually die never. Taking a shower is perfectly save.

It's been a while since I read it, but it think it would be more about why one "tribe" developed guns and the other didn't. (Minor nitpicking by someone who also heard of Jared Diamond).

Why bother even linking to the homepage, why not just link to Google? Why even discuss at all? Everything can be proved with Google... As for my question about which aspects they even measured: interesting would be of course YOUR aspects, w

I think if you go along that line of argumentation, it would be nice to link to actual articles and studies, rather than the homepage of some organization. Otherwise it is just a "call to authority", and we know those were never wrong in th

But then they could have just build bigger cars to begin with, which would have been even more efficient?

Me too. It's obvious that the two permanently coupled cars are really just one big car with a toilet, and it's obvious from the start that they should just have put a toilet in every car. But that's too easy to be the point, I suppose? Mayb

No customer loyalty, except to Amazon. I like to shop there because I know they won't make a fuss if there is a problem with the product. That's worth some money (should they ever be more expensive than somebody else).

I still don't see why a public apology is wrong, especially if the offending party is popular and sets an example for others.

Yeah but I don't get it. How would ignoring the issue be a better apology? These people write code anyway, there is no way the victim could realize "ah, they are silently writing code, so they must be sorry". And the people following their

Usually you can choose where you live. Where I live (Germany) the government unfortunately subsidizes car travel and living in the country side. Not sure what the economics factors are in the US. I suppose gas is cheaper, but still, owning

Add another 30 minutes or so for learning how to write a shell script. I mean how to pass variables into a shell script and stuff like that. Actually no idea if 30 minutes are sufficient for learning how to write shell scripts (it can get p

I think it can be valid to do stuff with a scripting language you know, rather than shell commands (isn't that the good old Perl philosophy?). I've actually even looked up sed once and did stuff with it, but it doesn't come up often enough

I am not saying the same thing will happen with batteries, just that I wouldn't give up just yet.

Sure, but that article seems to make some assumptions about batteries that might be irrelevant. The requirement is not "a battery has to power the car", it is just "a clean energy source has to power an electric motor".

I'm not a technician, but I know that I now get 12MBps (via DSL) and they haven't exchanged the phone lines. So they must have come up with something.
