Probably not - the trick is to get them to think of you as a person. You want to connect on a personal level. Asking for help is one of the most effective ways of 'personalizing' yourself, from what I've read (I've seen American blogs telli

I stopped going to (and failed) a CS class in college because it was boring, and I already had a job with a company who I'd worked with. That count?

Perhaps smart women are less likely to use the site than smart men. I have heard that more men than women use dating sites, so the intelligence distributions are also probably different.

Why would they correct it and say Klingon isn't an ethnicity? It pretty much is, only a fictional one.

Similar idea: http://www.bookmooch.com/ You're supposed to trade books, you use points to order books, get points by sending them, etc.

Anecdotal counterpoint: I have two buddies, aged about 25, who swear by Star Trek, especially the original series. Don't know why.

Am I the only one who finds those left-side magazine-style quotes from the article distracting? I don't think they add anything to the article.

I agree about the lack of color being a problem. In my mind, it links you with mimes and aloof Mac designers who think they're better than you. Maybe that's what you were going for, though!

Who says upper management has to know about it? If you know it'd make you happier, and you know you can deliver the results, you should go for it. There's always gonna be obstacles you have to overcome. Don't let them stop you.

A problem with this: The majority of the death-prone population (the elderly) are not tech-savvy and thus have no (perceived) need for such a service. Call back in 25 years.
