Its widely known as one of the most dangerous DIYs you can do. I think typically people working on them will get pushed off their ladder suddenly from the tension in the spring releasing.

I'm with you on this part of it. I don't see what the real benefit is to McD if it hurts their brand long-term, which seems to be happening in regard to their ice cream products. We are not talking about highly sophisticated machi

If I'm following OP's question, it was basically that all of this makes sense from a "people are doing what benefits them the most" POV. But some time went by and it morphed into being overall bad for the McDonald's

Interested to see how it shakes out in Portland, we put in infill laws a few years ago and I've seen a handful of multi-family additions on previously single-family land, and even a handful of trailer or tiny homes setup on driveways (

This seems like a decent thread to ask: how do you all throttle UDP traffic? We are doing some WebRTC work and would like to easily do this, but it seems like the only effective way to do it is with a dedicated hardware device or through yo

I prefer the glass half full view of possibility is all. No one has 100% certainty that life exists elsewhere, but its certainly higher than 0% certainty. For me this is nothing but a mental perspective. Historically we trended toward a ver

Sure, I don’t think that’s lost on anyone. The headline of “life found outside earth” is going to be a big deal. But I also think we are zeroing in on the inevitable outcome. The math of probability and the simple components to life make it

I feel like a lot of attention from this is on the WotC side, which is doing very well, bully for them, I consume a lot of the D&D product line. But what's up with the rest of the company doing poorly? They have a huge trove of gre

Survivorship bias though, not everyone has great coaches in their life or people who see their potential. You got dealt a good hand and played it well, and that's great, but not everyone is so lucky. Working 12 hour days I would not re

I dunno about this thought, are there other AI startups operating at this level and that have the amount of market share and headspace that OpenAI has? I see comments like this on hacker news a lot, and I get that yes, the man is human and

I agree going with brands you trust is the best solution. Discovering new, quality stuff will remain a problem. And really anything Youtube tries to do will get gamified by content creators trying to turn a quick buck.
