When I first saw this, I thought "really cool" and then I thought about the time that my friends and myself would spend towards developing "the perfect" bracket. I can't really decide if it's a good use of time

I don't think that the author disagrees with you. The headline is definetly hyperbole, but he does not discredit the values goals can bring. In his own words "None of this is to say that goals are useless. However, I've found

I love how Chad puts the disclaimer at the bottom stating that he believes all of this note is probably obvious, but the hard part is actually practicing it. That is so very true. If I try and think about everyone who I know, whom I would d

I do completely agree that there is a lot of overhead on the professor, but I tend to believe that any professor that would like this idea would be able to rationalize spending a weekend to be able to explain what she created all semester.

Speaking of what I would love to do as a college student, I think it would be awesome if a professor was doing something as a challenge against me. Meaning, I think a lot of time students are told to learn by the professor explaining some o

This was an awesome article filled with a lot of lay science! I only wish the author did a follow up with any strategies learned on how to combat this. Does anyone experience this phenomenon and have any strategies to prevent it?
