Electron uses chrome everywhere, Tauri uses the system webview which is very different and vastly inferior.

There is no viable alternative to Electron that is truly multi-platform.

I've seen some real world example where Go was as fast or faster than Rust for CPU / io intensive task. Go is a fast language even with a GC. https://github.com/boyter/scc/#performance

Not sure why Hex-Rays spends so much time fighting piracy and making the purchase a very complicated process, it's a lost battle, there will always be pirated copy of IDA, stop fighting it and embrace it to make a better offering.

Rust will never make it to the frontend at scale. There is a reason why JS was invented. People doing frontend dev don't want to bother with slow compile time or 3 strings implementation. And the fast argument is missleading at best, e

Retries are complicated to implement properly, you have some many timers in an HTTP request ( tcp hanshake, tls, headers, send bytes etc ... ) Let say you have 15sec to do an API call you have to take all the timers in consideration for the

How does it works exactly? It's a memory pool that uses 85% of available memory? If I have one row in my DB it's going to prealocate 30GB of memory? I don't think it's a sane design, it reminds me the JVM args with min &

This sounds terrible, it shows a lack of confidence in your own product, imagine if Google internally would use Zoom... I can tell you that devs that use their own product deliver better quality.

The problem is right there: DLSS3 enabled, most of the game don't or won't support that tech, and so AMD is better and cheaper with plain rasterization. The 6800xt was a better deal than the 3080.

Your app is always running to answer those GET so it's not serverless. Serverless means that your rust code would be invoked upon GET.

At the edge, so your app is at the edge but the DB is 80ms away. Too much focus on latency, trying to fix a non existing problem.

It must have ben some times ago, basically SSD / OS in the last 6 years will TRIM by default which make recovery impossible.
