Very US centric. No currency field? Not everyone expresses wages in amount/year. Are these amounts before tax? After tax?

It's unnatural, I tell you. Caused by the liberal media and their leftist propaganda! Goose pride is where it's at.

Most of our documentation attention goes towards the user manual and the system operator manual. We generate the bulk of those manuals based on our object model, which is liberally sprinkled with (text only) descriptions. We've created

The Lenovo website is one of the worst websites I've ever visited. For instance, if you try to filter laptops by memory, and tick the 16GB box, you won't find any Thinkpads. Only Yoga crap. Even though the X250 can ship with 16GB.

The x250 has great battery life. The keyboard is a little better than the X240, but not as good as the X220 or even the X230. Some of the keys are not full size. The function keys are garbage by default, but there's a persistent Fn loc

If you're looking for a low-entry start to meditation, Headspace is a great little app. It starts off easy, with 10 10 minute guided sessions.

You're (both) doing it wrong. For starters, meditation is a learned skill. It's not something you can do right off the bat. Second, it's not about 'not thinking'. It's about being aware of your thoughts, as if

Horse meat is very common in Belgium. As steak, as sandwich topping, or as part of many foods containing mince.

What do you base this assumption on? Not only do, literally, thousands of people enjoy sex in public, but it was impossible to have sex in private before people got big houses with separate bedrooms.

Maybe they should focus their efforts on getting their food production going so their people don't starve to death. Just sayin'...

Maybe that'll be able to keep bones stronger in micro gravity?

I read a lengthy article about the demise of the pickpocket a while back. Probably on HN. From what I remember, it basically said that pickpockets have gone all but extinct, their skills a thing of a bygone age.

Worst case scenario: you spend half an hour day relaxing. Doesn't seem like a terrible waste of time.

I don't think so. Flow makes you blind to everything that is arround you. It's pretty much hyper-focused tunnel vision. "Mindfulness" meditation, on the other hand, gives you a very wide awareness. Of yourself and of you

It's an acquired taste. I grew up in an area with very hard water. Whenever I drink tapwater that isn't hard as rocks, I get disappointed. It's just so...bland.

Drunks are a big problem in my neighbourhood, especially on weekends. Last night I had to get up at 05:00 to tell a bunch of drunks to bugger off. They didn't like that, so they made more noise. Sigh.

I assumed the article was intended as being tongue-in-cheek. Calling it unethical and farcical is, well, farcical.

No, he's part of the KGB, obviously.

by Tharkun 11y ago
I read about this yesterday, and spent last evening people watching. Either there are a lot of KGB-trained spies in my neighbourhood, a very high rate of Parkinsons, or there are other possible causes.
