You can reduce everything to being religion if you do it this way to the point of the comparison being useless. HN? Religion. Weight lifting? Religion. Dental hygiene? Religion. Voting? Religion. Functional Programming? Religion. Punk? Reli

1. The difference between speed and Adderall taking is larger than it seems at first glance. 2. Scott is exaggerating the prevalence of its usage a bit.

Sorry, scientology? This comes off as pretty bad faith. Most EAs are people like me who read some essays, setup some recurring donations to GiveWell and call it a day. If that's how being a scientology member goes then it must be milde

Given that those things frequently follow a power law, one man is hardly indicative of the impact the 2nd biggest donor has. Even more so when I am not sure if anyone in crypto comes even close. Coinbase only maybe?

Any sufficiently large transaction costs less than 3% on Ethereum. MetaMask claims a transfer would cost me 63 cents, so a pure Eth transfer of more than $22 for example. Though of course you can do it a lot cheaper on L2s.

You can't really run Uniswap and expect it to be useful on a Pi for obvious reasons so a Pi doesn't solve the same issues.

r/TrueFilm has slightly better discussions than the other movie-related subs. Realistically, the common place nowadays is likely letterboxd (and similar sites) in the form of leaving reviews and comments on them.

In cases like this typically they'd just fire you and pay the salary through the minimum notice period without requiring nor allowing you to show up. I see no reason to think that's not the case here.

Diagnosis of depression going up (as shown in the first link) don't necessarily mean incidents of depression are going up. It could be that more people are trying to treat it than before.
