I am glad someone is taking on this challenge! Its been a few years since I was saying that the last piece of the serverless puzzle is a good postgres serverless database. If I was not working on my startup I would apply for sure. It would

There was a poll on LinkedIn for tech salaries in Quebec (same timezone as New York, most people speak English well enough, good universities) and the result was that 50% make less than 100k (75k USD). Only 20% make more than 125k (96k USD)

Nice tool! One common problem I have with SQLite is the DDL to alter tables is quite limited and the performance is not super. I actually opened https://sqlite.org/forum/forumpost/8b4e95fd55 a few days ago because

If by rational you mean neo-liberal and that this policy crushed the weaken economy of Greece and created a decade of poverty for the people then yes he was forced out to put "rational" policies in place.

As a final year of university we built a system interacting with PLC and those systems are insecure by default. Usually the code is stored plaintext on the device if you can speak their protocol. Some of those devices are connected to the i

This website really needs an update. Many people mentionned Axum. On the DB side you should check out sea-query and sea-orm. Many negative rust comments over here. It sure did take me a few months to get comfortable with the language and it

I used to hate the closure from rust but I learned to love it. With golang its a PITA to track down performance issues die to heap escape where it is explicit in rust.

Good points, like I said we are still discussing it internally and I like some of the points you made. For now our target customers are individuals that happen to be very good with computers so we can't expect juicy support contracts.

For me open source is to give the assurance to users that we are not doing shady things and that no matter what the business does they will continue to be able to use their software.

Honest question, how is it possible to be viable as a business and offer your code as MPL (Convoy) or MIT (Svix)? I love open source but I would expect a stronger license like GPL to be used, why did we settle on very permissive license as

Thanks! Cloud of choice is great, also need region and AZ of choice too for any serious production database. What is killing performance is round trip time to the DB. The language seems to help on the number of round-trips so that's go

Congrats on the launch! The code seems to be Apache 2.0 which opens the door to AWS or other big clouds just hosting the service instead of people using your cloud service. Are you guys planning to change the license to prevent that? On a t
