I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make. I said it is not new but the scale and pervasiveness and especially the personal targeting is new. And yes, that is what misinformation is, lies and falsehoods presented as news. Remember

You can relax, I specifically mentioned misinformation. That is what is dangerous. People can get their news from different outlets with different priorities and that is all well and good. What has happened at a large scale more recently is

True, but even “least bad” is not correct unless the public is well informed [as in not being fed misinformation] and in a rational state of mind [as in not scared of or trained to despise the jews, immigrants, woke etc.]. The difference in

It would be interesting to note how you define a free market in this context and what makes it “more free”. Because a market can not be free unless there are rules and they are enforced. Without rules and government intervention when necess

This is not a contrarian opinion. This is a problem that was recognized long ago and production capacity for strategically important industries has been in the buildup both in Europe and the US. Trump's actions will probably boost Euro

The whole western world is different and not for the better since 2015. Erosion of public trust since then is tremendous and regrettable so it is not surprising that we miss the communities that once were.
