On Windows I recommend Baralga. It's quite old, UI is simple, and it just works. It's still maintained. https://github.com/Baralga/baralga

The best non-US service I've found is Everypocket[1]. It almost seems like a glorified Excel, but it's just so simple. Unfortunately, it looks like the dev has abandoned the project. He doesn't respond on his own subreddit[2]

I've always thought that part of that culture is remuneration. People in IT sector are more likely to earn well nowadays than most jobs. When one doesn't have to worry about money it's easier to be kind, helpful and open-mind

Does anybody know a FOSS zero-based budgeting software? GnuCash or Firefly are great double-entry systems, but for personal budgeting I prefer YNAB or Everypocket styles.
