I assume that if people want to enjoy a service without paying for it, it's theft. It's the "I don't want to pay for it, but I still want to watch it." that seems to be hang up for so many. Let me explain it simply.

We get deprived of the income when it is consumed without providing money for that service. If you watch it with your friends, 5 people watch it for one purchase. If it's good, you all tell 3 more people. Of those 15 people, 20 percent

The workforce's income is contractually tied to the amount of post box office profit the film makes. When you steal a show you get the entertainment value without cost of your money. That is directly reflected in my income.

Yet. I do have minor creative input depending on the production. When an audience shows they enjoy something I am able to argue more fiercly to include a similar thing into the next one. And someday I'll be makign my own productions.

In this example, the banking provides the service of a safe place to keep my money until I spend it. That's what I pay for, in the form account fees and the banks ability to leverage my saved money for their financial gain.
