Speed limits are effective? Serious enforcement? Surely you must be kidding. Speed limits are a joke everywhere, even school zones during drop off times. Any reasonable speed limit for a shared use bike path (IMO, <15mph) will be routine

I'm pretty sure most of the maintenance costs for a bike lane are for repainting it because cars drive over it and wear away the paint.

DJI has a quad called "FPV" but that doesn't mean it's the FPV hobby. I can replace an arm on my quad for $2 vs some absurd money for DJI Care plus time spent waiting for shipping back and forth. Now let's blow up s

People making up their own rules is the defining problem of the pandemic.

I'm guessing you only get this pill if you're hospitalized with severe symptoms. In which case, you're still occupying hospital beds/resources, which is the main remaining threat to rational society.

Not everyone is eligible for a booster shot.

DJI and FPV are two different hobbies, IMO. Either you want a slow-and-steady flying camera or you want to feel like you're actually flying an insanely maneuverable aircraft. And yeah, the FPV ecosystem with interchangeable parts and o

You also escape future Remote ID requirements. For commercial drone pilots, I think you also escape qualifying the drone for certain operations but I'm not sure. I don't have the commercial license yet.

Mmmm, how much of the electric side is actually serviceable? I think you're confusing e-bikes with regular bikes. The electric side is probably entirely off limits to people and what you're experiencing is the vestigial aspects of

I don't think you can get a quantity (ie ".1%") from a non-quantifiable thing like "generally walkable". I consider my town very walkable except for grocery stores, which is a pretty core aspect.

NH and MA have a similar dichotomy. NH residents commute into MA for work, where they pay MA income tax, and so the NH property taxes are usually higher than a comparable home in MA. However, and no offense to NJ, I think living in NH has a

You're missing a step. You originally wrote "I don’t see why the shell must be both nice to program in and a concise textual interface." I attempted to demonstrate how evolving a CLI session into a script is very beneficial.

You can have knowledge silos in either kind of company. We didn't magically get better at spreading work around or writing documentation just because we went remote.

Shell scripts are the automation and extension of repetitive, tedious manual tasks. Why wouldn't you want to take your shell history and wrap it in some getopt-ish stuff? Or to put it another way, why would you wish to throw away your
