Chrome developer tools are pay-for-play. Aside from download size, users are not impacted by the existence of the developer tools. Users who don't want a physical keyboard can't exactly remove it.

I am a complete font newbie, but looking at the standard ( https://www.iso.org/standard/66391.html ), it seems like there exists a feature called "contextual glyphs", which means you can supply alternative glyp

From what I've observed, Vancouver weather is closely correlated to Seattle weather (it's fairly close to Seattle). I haven't actually compared the data though. Similarly, I would imagine that weather in Portland is quite d

Not a js dev, but it seems like when doing a compare if a package already exists, hyphens should be removed (so "crossenv" and "cross-env" are considered identical). "js" seems like needless verbosity, maybe t

There's certainly less sun in Seattle, but it's not too bad: https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Washington/annual-day... SF has about 60 days more of sun per year: https://www.currentresul

I'm of the opinion that you should express your intent as clearly as possible and let the optimizer handle making your code fast. It should be rare that writing "dense" code actually gives you performance wins.

Slightly OT question - if I want a particular phone number, whats the preferred method of doing this? I.e., is there a way to be notified when someone gives up a certain number?

I think that's a fair statement, in that as an example here is literally a meal kit from Amazon: http://a.co/1oWOQcG But branding goes a long way, and they'll undoubtedly position this differently than the above.

This is really anecdotal, and I don't have a ton of experience with iPad versions of board games, but I've tried several on Android and it feels like all of them are just slightly rough around the edges. It's really hard t

Monopoly really shines in electronic versions, where book-keeping and rule enforcement is easy to do. There's no "free parking money pot" nonsense that just makes the game unnecessarily long.

It depends. For software that interacts with services, most certainly. Otherwise, consider emulators - games or applications written for platforms long gone can continue to run today, because that software was written (mostly) to some sort

Interesting - maybe it means that voice interfaces are better for tasks of a certain shape: Those that are typically multi-step, specific, and "deep" in an app. Things like setting a kitchen timer, saving a reminder for yourself

Getting OT, but if you want a hilarious game simulation of dealing with poor kitchen design with multiple cooks (with a strong heaping of the brigade system), check out the game "Overcooked".

I would guess that if you're world class at some creative process you massively compress the amount of "raw" data you need to recreate something, just due to the sheer number of patterns you are aware of. For example, if I as

I've found Herb Sutter's talk on std::atomic also useful for understanding this. The 2nd part of his talk goes into some of the differences between x86 and other architectures (about 31 min in): https://channel9.msdn.co

What about pieces that, put together, equal another larger piece? Say, a few "flat" pieces of the same color to make a larger 1 unit tall brick? Can you see the seams on these?
