Do you really press every possible key down almost to the switch point, and then when you want to actuate the key, press it a tiny bit further? I would guess (and maybe I'm wrong about this) that you rest your fingers on the keycaps, a

I don't know how much I buy (!) this explanation - if an overqualified engineer is applying for a role that is below their usual expectations, it's probably because they can't find something that is a better match for whateve

I've tried walking around with a GearVR on my face with the phone camera turned on, and the latency makes it non-trivial. There's no way I would even think about trying to drive with this thing on.

I've seen this at banks that do something similar (and it's probably for this reason). They include a user-selected picture at logon, so if you see the wrong picture, you know that their logon page is being spoofed. I have no ide

KeePass can also generate TOTP codes. Kind of ruins the point of these codes, but if you're already storing the QR codes on it, you can go a step further and just get KeePass to generate the output code for you. https://bit

The problem with this style of password management is twofold: 1. You can't change your master password without changing every other password (upon refresh - looks like others mentioned that already) 2. You can't modify the output

There's something fantastically entertaining about this. It's stupidly simple (from the outside) but interacting with the computer in such a different way is weirdly fun. It's like when you turn on a camera and people can se

If you're confident enough of your auto-sync, you can always keep the manual refresh and just have it no-op. Eventually users realize that clicking refresh never actually brings in new content, and the content they expect is always th

Way back in the day, the help documentation shipped with MSDOS really helped me out. IIRC it had a colored text-graphical interface that let you look at all the commands and what they could do. Really helped out a young kid figure out how

Isn't this just software? Slow sync flash is just synchronizing flash with a slower shutter and deciding what data to pull from the camera. Is there unique hardware required to do this?

Perhaps I was too harsh with my words. You do care, but would you rewards hard work in and of itself? Results are important - and to be fair sometimes you can't get the results you want and failure is ok and should be expected. That
