Oh, that was unexpected. The objections I’ve heard thus far have been about overpopulation. Tell me more about that.

I also study Permaculture, which is a science of study of the environment. There is a paradox discussed in Permaculture: “The problem becomes the solution.” Applying that to the population numbers, we may actually not have /enough/

Edit: Before you downvote read the paragraph at the end please. True story: I didn’t want kids. I knew I was selfish and didn’t want to ruin kids. But one day I pondered Psalm 127:3-5. I reasoned that if God called children a blessing then

How about: Each computer comes with a bar of soap, and with the skills learned you can compete in the world and afford all the soap you will ever need? I don’t see it as either/or. When computers are used properly many can lift themsel

How about using the Android tablet to connect to a Windows Terminal Server instance on AWS? Requires more setting up and requires a reliable-ish connection but it’s lighter on resources and that connection can be much cheaper than providing

OP if it makes you feel any better, the original Space Jam (movie) website is still online, and it still looks like the '90s took a dump all over it. Loaded quickly on my 28.8Kbps modem. https://www.warnerbros.com/archi

Stories like these are why I am led to believe that more and more regulations actually hurt the little guy. Big corporations do not fear more regulations. They can afford the lobbyists to influence politicians to write loopholes, the consul

Or, I would suppose, x86 and x64 apps. That's the main reason I run Windows; the mile-wide app compatibility. Looks like at least 32bit x86 apps will run. http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-on-arm-it-will-be-m

I'm only having fun but yes, I am sure it's a solid source. I have in fact inputted one of my weaker (common, low-impact forum-only) passwords there in the past. It was pwned.

That said, a manufacturer could still use an Orange or Nano Pi to integrate. Simply disable the onboard Wi-Fi and include a certified USB Wi-Fi adapter.

Do you have an example? SparkFun even has a blog entry about certification that's a useful read, although not entirely accurate. https://www.sparkfun.com/tutorials/398

The Orange and Nano Pis are not FCC-certified, so they're not likely to be integrated into any product sold in the United States, at least legally-speaking, assuming the manufacturer doesn't want to be fined. Orange pretends to be

I don't like bike commuting. I have biked 2 miles/3.2km each way to the office for the past 16 years, at least twice a week and usually all five days. I still don't like it. Maybe I'm just a fat, lazy son of a gun? Maybe

My wife refuses to kill southern house spiders (harmless). She names them, usually some variant of “Charlotte.” Talks to them and drops off dead bugs for them to eat. As a bonus, we don’t need to decorate for Halloween.
