My preferred solution is to have a GUI, then I don't need to do anything extra to remember CLI commands.

When I downloaded it a few months ago and it required an account to even use it, my gut feeling was that I should just stick with Firefox.

Oh yeah it's not going to be very fast, but for general usage that doesn't involve large transfers it's fine.

Just ease of use mostly, Tailscale works even behind CGNAT and automatically manages things for you.

I'm curious what's your use case for 71TB of data where you can also shut it down most of the time? My NAS is basically constantly in use, between video footage being dumped and then pulled for editing, uploading and editing photo

>That's a classic auto ignition system. I just fixed up a 1972 Honda motorcycle, and when I took the cover off the ignition point it was fascinating looking at that whole system, so simple and easy to fix.

I'm just thankful for the people that do upgrade to every new model, it keeps the used market alive for those of us that want a 2 year old phone for cheap.

It looks pretty neat, how are backups handled?

Some sites do that, like Netdata. But it's slow compared to my PW manager just autofilling a user/PW combo, since I have to wait for the email and go click the link.

ShutUp10 does have a toggle to prevent automated app installs, sometimes on a major windows feature update I'll see 1-2 new apps show up, but overall it stops a lot of the crud.

Have you tried Search Everything? It's much better and searches instantly without indexing.

A lot of these can be done with O&O ShutUp10 with a GUI and toggles if that's more your thing too. I think only the file explorer tweaks aren't in it.

What CPU? Intel Quicksync is very capable (even more so than most AMD/Nvidia cards) and any 7th gen or newer Intel CPU with integrated graphics has it and has good codec support.

That's pretty standard for Google. Their Pixel phones have tons of issues that never get acknowledged or fixed, as do most of their products. I've stopped considering anything google makes as a viable purchase unless I want to be

The same thing happened before with Linux, crowdstrike made systems unbootable. So I don't understand why you're focusing on windows here. Linux allows anyone to update too, there's no review or control either. Just because a

What about the previous crowdstrike bugs that hit Linux systems in a similar fashion? I don't understand how this has anything to do with Windows, Crowdstrike is the one who built the application.

My cheap Behringer NU1000DSP that I use as a subwoofer amp can do that to some extent with its dynamic EQ, and you can set it up via USB with a PC app which is a huge step up from some crummy little LCD and buttons.

You can't trust any OS fully for that IMO. There have been file corruption bugs on Linux filesystems too. And there's always the possibility of an app you install having a bug and corrupting things as well. One example is Nextclou
