Seems pretty interesting, though I have to say that watching only the introduction video gives you basically NO IDEA of what the product solves or how.

And if Apple wanted to claim any part of that as true they should have thought twice before they started suing companies on design patents. Made bed, meet company laying in you.

And I would love to see anyone defend that position in court. "Your honor, it was patented but was it a 'real patent?', I mean look at the offices of the company that owns it. It's a small company, not very famous and their coffee tastes bl

'Accused'? Well innocent until proven guilty and all but it's a 100% accurate port of the entire design. Hardly even a question. I think they should have to pay at least what they are asking Samsung for in the latest lawsuit.

Cause Foursquare are the only ones using the features in question. NO way that any larger companies will side with Foursquare to squash this before it gets traction. I hope.

I think it might get REALLY interesting when the 'old players' in the hardware scene (IBM etc) pull out their books and start counter suing for tech they developed when Apple were still flogging their Apple 2s Remember, Apple as they sit to

Strange conclusion considering Apple has already won several legal battles banning the sales of competitor products on German/European markets. Seems their 'fit throwing' is indeed working as intended.

Short term yes. Though I think we all remember Microsoft walking down the same path and basically paving the way for Apple to become 'the underdog' in the 90s and it sure hasn't helped their public image.

I have to say that I am happy to see a major company saying what everyone is thinking. It is truly absurd that Apple has the audacity to claim some 'we invented it' right to any type of Cellphone tech or Tablet hardware. ALL Apples success

I am really getting seriously disappointed in Apple. I don't care at all about their excuse that 'we are just buying patents to fight patent trolls' anymore. Obviously, they are patent trolls themselves and should be treated as just that. P

I would also argue that most investors see a huge premium in the non-tangible asset 'track record', where Amazon truly shines. Looking at S3, E2 etc. it is easy to see that while Amazon has a fairly 'boring' bread a butter retail business t

Nicely misleading and view-bait headline. Has nothing to do with Y-Combinators value but the total estimated value of the total of all their portfolio companies, not their share.
