OpenSCAD has become my go to with my 3-D printer for dumb little things. And the best part is LLMs are getting decent / pretty good with it! My favorite thing I’ve printed is a little downsize coupler for the cool shirt system I built

This comment is pretty funny to me, as a car guy. What’s there to service? It’s a software issue.

I have found Claude‘s voice chat to be better. I only recently tried it because I liked ChatGPTs enough, but I think I’m going to use Claude going forward. I find myself getting interrupted by ChatGPT a lot whenever I do use it.

The last time I ended up trying something like this I was implementing postgres features that the mocks didn’t. Now, I just tested against a real database in a docker container. I have over 1k tests that run about 1.5 mins. I’m pretty happy

Right! I thought this at the very bottom was super interesting > For Claude and Claude Code users with access to Opus 4.5, we’ve removed Opus-specific caps. For Max and Team Premium users, we’ve increased overall usage limits, meaning yo

This is fair, I’m admittedly very bad at this. I keep reaching for technical things to build, but I should focus on that. I’ll add some visuals today

Hey everyone! I've spent some time building my own image diffing library in Rust and I'm excited to share it. Excited enough to be ripped up by HN :) The biggest catalyst for this is knowing most visual testing tools image diffing

Depreciation off of the initial price, absolutely. EVs have always been grossly overpriced tech machines. They’re not traditional cars. Look at Nissan leafs. They “traditionally” depreciate.

I’m a huge car guy (race spec Miata, have 7 cars, etc etc). You will never EVER catch me in a car connected to the internet (this includes all the precious new EVs). Especially a Chrysler product. Look up how they were hacked in 2015…

Yeah, my take is it’s sort of up to the person using the LLM and maybe how they match to that LLM. That’s my hunch as to why we hear wildly different takes on these LLMs working for people. Gemini can be the most productive model for some w

My mom is 100% blind, everything I build I make sure my mom can use it. I remediated visa checkout to save a tier 1 bank contract and got them to WCAG2.0 compatibility. With my “credentials” out do the way… Ugh, this is what sort of bothers

Sadly you have to use VSCode. The closest editor that’s come to replacing emacs for me is Zed. But still, zed hasn’t won me over because their git solution is still not as good as magit I’m almost locked into emacs because of magit lol

Teslas have always been objectively bad cars. Inconsistent panel gaps, bad paint from the factory, poor build quality, etc. The car folks have always known this. It’s taken elons politics for tech folks to realize.
