This, to me, reads like the CEOs that are catching up to months ago. I was subbed to claude for CC since July/aug (can’t remember when I stopped paying the API pricing). I canceled 3 weeks ago. Since then everything with the usage limi

Is there any kind of “hook up” on wholesale large dumb displays? I know I’m preaching to the choir, but I just want a giant dumb display from my Apple TV. I vaguely remember someone posting a link to tvs restaurants use but I don’t remember

We’re in a personal software era. Or disposable software era however you want to look at it. I think most people are building for themselves and no longer needing to lean on community to get a lot of things done now. Self plug, but basicall

It is annoying. But I bet they’re effectively being DDoS’d every day by AI agents now. I think the past year of that growth has destroyed any of their spare resources. It’s not really a scale problem I’d like to work on, tbh. Seems very har

You’re right it completely doesn’t matter they’ve been instrumental to ICE and the war in Iran. It’s fine now, their previous actions are excused. Edit: the word you’re also looking for is “working” not “worked”. I have many friends on gove

Did you read the article? Or are you just replying? Anthropic has literally been working with the DoD and Plantair for 2 years now. They were key to the Iran invasion. If thats “looking better”, keep it.

Has it occurred to anyone that Anthropic highest in the industry API pricing is a play to drive you into their subscription? For the lock-in?

I love this argument because people grab Anthropic’s API pricing, stop there, and present it at face value. Only Anthropic knows their inference costs. And do we _really_ think they’re losing money? Hahaha

Does it really need a VPS? Can’t throw it onto a cloudflare page for free?

Local LLMs and compiling rust are the only two things that I have seen saturate my M4 Max, hahaha.

Oh that made it seem like I was the driving factor. Maybe for the first one (Percy.io) I can claim a large part of that success (owning the SDKs and support end to end). The other I just owned the front end infra and was on the growth team.

Heh, I also upgraded to run local LLMs. As a tiny aside, codex does not burn resources like CC does.

Ah sorry minutes, they bill the most for macOS probably because of what a pain it is to scale it with apples EULA (I'm guessing) https://docs.github.com/en/billing/reference/actions-runner-...

It works out pretty okay for me, I do it since GH runners are very expensive and I have my own hardware so why not. https://docs.github.com/en/actions/concepts/runners/self-hos... I setup a self hosted r

Oh my. All I have to say is cherish the first week of your M* experience. :D When I got rid of my intel MBP (it was an i7) for my MBA it was astonishing how fast and smooth it was. So, the m5 with 48gb of ram will be amazing.

I’ve been tempted to buy one and do “real dev work” on it just to show people it’s not this handicapped little machine. I built multiple iOS apps and went through two start up acquisitions with my M1 MBA as my primary computer, as a develop

I wanted a real native app (iOS/macOS) as a client for my agents and to be able to truly control / mange them from it. So, think Claude Code remote but not just Claude and a proper native app. Or the Codex app but actually native.

So will there be droves of people canceling their Claude subscription too? None of these companies are clean and I think it’s hilarious HN and the rest of SV has been duped by Dario. He’s playing the game better than Sam is, imo. Nothing Da

Ha, I’ve had a Mattermost instance for years until they handicapped the most recent version by limiting the number of messages on the self hosted version. I ended up building my own alternative and was going to OSS it but like… there’s alre

This is only the beginning. People are far far too reckless with their LLMs. I am still heavily checking everything they’re doing. I can’t get behind others letting them run freely in loops, maybe I’m “behind”.

Heyo! I figured I’d share something I’ve been thinking about over the past month or so. I’m curious if anyone else is feeling/thinking this? Everything is moving so fast, my head is spinning.

I retired my M1 MacBook Air last year, really out of power greed. I wanted to play with local LLMs (lol). I seriously never had issues with my m1 in my workloads. Dev stuff, docker, etc. editing 30min 4k GoPro videos. I probably would these
