Even today the Firefox dev tools are quite far behind in my experience. For example, source maps are completely unsupported in the web console [0], so you get a useless trace pointing to app.js:22312 while Chrome will tell you the target is

The corollary is that after a best/good-enough solution is found and the underlying platform unifies and stabilizes, most of the innovation moves up in the stack. Things that used to be important and hotly debated become mundane things

These changes take the AWS SMS delivery from being suitable for ops alerts and the like, to being usable for end-user products. On several projects where I've been involved, we'd have to justify why AWS could not be used, and why

When you're just starting out, a low customer acquisition cost, preferably zero, and organic growth is key. A site like HN or Product Hunt may drive a one-time spike in traffic, but people Googling for a solution will drive new custome

Restaurants have terrible margins (in the 3% range [1]) and high failure rates themselves. Selling to them as a startup is like playing on ultrahard mode difficulty, unless you're solving a hair-on-fire level pain point. The total negl

From the demo, the payment overlay seems integrated directly into Safari. Hopefully there's an OS level API that Chrome et al. can hook into, otherwise it's going to be fairly limited in adoption.

Is multi-catch or typed catch statements anywhere on the ES roadmap? These are really convenient, essentially you do: DB.insert(obj).then(result => { ... }).catch(UnauthorizedError, e => { // Will end up here

When it comes to data, trust is key. Think about it this way: OCZ has on paper SSDs that are simultaneously both faster and cheaper than, say, Intel. But I wouldn't put a OCZ drive into the lowest budged ricer gaming PC I could imagine
