This increase only affects the US regions, so it very likely is in preparation for additional tariffs.

How good and complete are any of these providers for Proxmox? If the ratio holds (4/10 I checked), I'd have to look more closely at about a third of the providers, just based on their latest release date.

There's no requirement for keeping the code as implemented open source or not using proprietary extensions.

Here's a part from the "Respects your Freedom" page. The second paragraph explicitly excludes factory loaded and unupgradeable software from consideration. >All the product software must be free software. The product softw

Using third party repos makes upgrading the OS in general more difficult though and is more dangerous than simply using what your distro provides.

I found this PR [1] yesterday which should implement a copy function for panels. But it's anyone's guess whether we'll get this functionality in Plasma or a QT6 port of Latte dock [2] [1] https://invent.kde.org

The Swiss ride anywhere ticket is 4000 CHF annually [1]. (330 CHF/month -> 350 EUR/month) That's still less than an average car. A commonly quoted figure is 10'000 CHF per year. [2] [1] https://www.sbb.ch&#

You won't have a specific plugin, but you can absolutely use any common VPN config and configure that on OPNsense as a client.

Fontconfig on Linux has an option to set the subpixel layout, though currently only rgb, but, vrgb and vbgr are supported. Maybe this could be extended for OLED monitors

Yeah, but then imagine if we took all these separate vehicles and stuck them together to increase efficiency. And now we could regularly send such vehicle groups, making travel predictable for everyone. Wait...

Could probably get similar improvements by using any distro with less "batteries included" than Debian. Though I'm not aware of any except Alpine which offer stable versions.

You can't hibernate with zram, the kernel has no way of distinguishing zram swap and normal swap space.

I just switched from sway to KDE + Kröhnkite. That might be an option. According to the reddit comments I've seen, there aren't any plans to expand tiling functionality much beyond what it currently is in KDE.

Newer builds of LineageOS support signature spoofing now, so no need for LineageOS4microg anymore. Just download the official microg APK. You also get the benefit of weekly security updates over the rather irregular ones with LOS4microg. If

> 250$ is a lot of money to me though. I spent €290 on my 16GB GPU for my AI server but that was once off and I really had to think about it. Agreed, it's a lot of money and definitely more than I'd be willing to spend. However

If you just want to play with this a bit, around 250$/month should give you enough metal when renting from cheap VDS/dedicated server providers.
