Samsung merged Bada into Tizen. Bada development was stopped. Tizen native apps are written using EFL. Qt supported as well. There are already a couple of Samsung cameras using Tizen. More devices are scheduled to 2014. https://d

Shame might be too hard, but I agree with OP. It's a general human interest piece that has little place in a dedicated technical news forum. Mind you, I feel similarly about most NSA submissions and while I would very much like to have

No need for a full blown electronics class. This subject falls under Switching Theory and can be covered thoroughly in the first (and often a single) semester. Starting with elementary set theory and boolean algebra, you go into the combina

http://golang.org/doc/effective_go.html#named-results It's far more convenient looking at the function deceleration and knowing what comes and goes instead of hunting for return statements.

There's nothing magical about a compiler. If the Go team decides to build a C compiler using Go that targets Go instead of machine code, they will. Worse case scenario the resulting code will be a GOTO littered state-machine with '

Instead of regurgitating an old chestnut: "thermodynamic limits impose a cap to energy growth lest we cook ourselves. I’m not talking about global warming, CO2 build-up, etc. I’m talking about radiating the spent energy into space.&quo

I suspect most of your questions would be answered when the book is done; And probably in the "Next Steps" Appendix. Mean while, I personally suggest you should only implement the performance driven parts in C functions while glui

Why? What reason could there possibly be that such well known, gaping holes in the standard have persisted for all these years and multiple standard revisions? C90, C99, C11 and now C14... If performance or backward compatibility is a conce

Honestly? The mailing list makes it sound like GCC is so convoluted it requires an entire front-end implementation as a test suit. I'm not saying it's true or anything. Just calling it like I see it...

Also note that regardless of where you live, it's illegal for employers to have an employee work off the clock, regardless of any stipulations in the personal contract, since there are tax issues involved.

You shouldn't bring up Plan9 when discussing Linux. It's akin to bringing up Mozart's writing symphonies at the age of 8 to the proud mother of a somewhat disabled child that has finally mastered the potty at the tender age o
