I love how natural "they" sounds in English (not my first language) compared to French for example.

It is pretty much dead, at my company we migrated our entire frontend codebase from Flow to TypeScript and we're happier for it.

I don't think we will go that path, I think that VR will fade away when we have usable/portable AR.

This will definitely go against the general consensus here; but as a frontend developer the association of Google and web.dev has never been a mystery to me or my team. I don't think it is even a case of hiding at all. just a short dom

In France as well. Also if you're a contractor you can't be working for the same company/role more than 3 years for the same reason.

I don't have that option. The number and length of meetings is the same if I'm WFH or in the office. Since we're doing SCRUM, their spacing is also the same: sprint review, retrospective, splaning, refinement, ideation, etc..

I'm struggling with the idea of hybrid WFH. It still means that I need to live near the office. Instead of a cheaper, quieter place far away from cities. Besides making middle-management happy, I'm not sure what is the benefit of

A few questions: - Why does the number of twitter followers matter? Did the employees also see a rise in the number of users who signed up for the product? - A dead giveaway on bought followers is the lack of interaction; Your account has 1

> has been assured that their jobs are safe but 3 have already resigned There you go, they didn't believe in that reassurance. You want to keep the rest? Make them see your long term plan for their department.

I don't remember the details since it was a few years ago that I came across this, but I think the idea was that both buyer and seller could signal to the smart-contract that they're satisfied and that the withdrawal can happen. O

I will fight for WFH and an occasional "office day" once every couple of weeks. I don't miss the 45 minute commute, the loud open-space, the ~20$ launch breaks... However, I see the value of an occasional face-to-face, organi

I agree with you that snapping some skeletons on a UI and calling it a day won't help the user This is why I sneaked this part in: > if you place proper skeletons I had to work on this recently and unless you take the design constra

Plenty of examples, mostly boils down to: - some manager picks the cheapest contractor - said contractor ships enough code to tick the check-boxes on the contract - people who will actually use the project will not get their hands on it unt

You want to know why they exist? Because of Google Core Web Vitals metrics! CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) can go to zero if you place proper skeletons. I still prefer it to content jumping around when the API response is done.

In the town I live (Nice, FR) the drivers don't enforce fares. You can completely bypass them and they won't look twice at you. However, there are "control" squads, basically a large group of +6 feet guys in uniform that

I enjoy working with React (and Next.js when I need server-side-rendering). I like that JSX is close to native JS and doesn't have weird syntax like `v-bind`, `v-if` or `bind:value`. Basically for learning, getting better at React mean
