I really wish there was some type of option to go "I really don't want all that fancy crap; give me the version that works via standard APIs"

So this means we're splitting the iPhone SKUs into AT&T and Verizon again? It's much nicer knowing one phone will work on all carriers. :/

Agreed. I pay royalties to a lot of different accounts and Paypal is simply the only option available. How come its super hard to go "here is my ACH account, put $XX into this ACH account"? I'm not even taking someone else&#x

Definitely +1 on this. It's a great feature to see if A) emails are being sent and B) templates weren't messed up in some way. (I have had many a batch email with "{{name}" or some other templating error, heh.)

So is it possible for simple ACH->ACH deposits? I'm looking to take out of my bank account and put into another (royalty payments for the curious). Ideally without having to hold a Stripe balance, just simple xfer.

One problem with this: it makes sense that district lines could be along natural (rivers, lakes, mountains) or political (towns, county) lines. Trusting a simple line algorithm may bisect a town down the middle.

It depends on where the item is posted. If it's your own video on your own bandwidth than possibly. But on Youtube, you still have to agree to the Youtube Terms of Service which probably includes a provision for takedown or re-monitiza

Another similar question: How do you handle the purchasing of land? Do the recipients own the land?

Which do you prefer most in an application: What the app currently does (or will do in three months)? What the future app might look like in five years? And/or: how it will get there?

The opportunity is more in the network than the tech. For something like this to work, you have to convince both site owners and advertisers to use your network. (Not that it's a bad idea, but it's like 97% hussle and 3% tech prob

Things like this just means we should really bring out something that doesn't expose the magic 16 digits of "charge me anything" to the world. Tokenization schemes like Apple Pay go a long way to securing the general public i

I've recently gotten chip cards for some of my business CCs and they do not require a PIN. It's possible they'll introduce this later to ease the transition.

Personally, I trust paying a person via Paypal vs. a generic credit card form. Or anything really that doesn't let me trust you with my 16+3 digits that grants full access to drain my credit.

Random question: If the specially blessed form names for user signup is 'username' and 'new-password', what's the name of the field that's "password again" (for typos)?

No problems here with a 2012 rMBP 13". It appears the kernel panics are due to the swapping between integrated and discrete graphics. Since the 13" only has integrated, I've been experiencing no problems.

Heroku hasn't changed pricing since they launched, actually. The only historical price reference I quickly found was that the EC2 was $0.085/hr for (what is now called) an m1.small[1]. Heroku launched with $0.05/hr pricing. A

Is there a method of inserting the address if it's already known? (Such as saved customer data or another form element?)

I agree. The insurance situation alone is, well, strange. * Personal insurance does not cover commercial driving. UberX only requires personal insurance to be a driver. * Uber's own insurance only covers when a passenger is in the car.

I live in Tucson now and I'm paying $70/month for 50 down / 10 up, but that's for residential. Commercial lines are horrible; $99/month for 10 down / 2 up.

Paypal's Seller Protection only works if the use has a Paypal account, and has a confirmed address. It doesn't work if you use Paypal Pro or the Paypal REST API to accept straight credit cards without an account.

This sounds like more of an issue with our card payment systems rather than individual merchants. All it takes is 16 digits to fraudulently use somebody else's money and the merchant is typically liable in case of that. And to add insu

Heroku's $0.05/hr base pricing hasn't changed in a very long time, while Amazon has both dropped price and increased power. I love Heroku's service, but it's starting to get very expensive. This $576/month plan
