Fishing is both gigantic and unprofitable (roughly $44B/year in the hole with subsidies, as of 2014)[1]. Illegal fishing is also a gigantic problem. In fact, illegal fishing is the 3rd largest crime in dollars after smuggling weapons

I believe the Microsoft Bot Framework will consume a standard FAQ and answer questions from it, but you'll have to confirm. I saw a demo doing just that last year, but I'm unsure how much extra work there was.

Another (mostly ex) Robotics guy here - I have a BSEE and a MSCS. If possible, I'd focus more on the coding side of your capabilities versus the mechanical side - there's just far more upside. People tend to pigeonhole MEs way m

It is there, but amongst the giant pile up of startups, it is hard to stand out. I would have paid more attention had I known it was of interest. :/ If you're at CES, it is in the bottom floor of the Sands just behind the Israel s

The biggest reason to switch to robots in manufacturing is quality control, followed by retooling speed, followed (distantly) by line speed. If you have any humans in your process, you only go as fast as they can.

Interestingly, I find that it is difficult to escape the expectation of getting new things unless you're already wealthy. Poorer people can't afford a high quality new thing, so they buy a cheaper one to replace its utility. Howev

Amazon has built a theme park that looks like Seattle inside of Seattle. Microsoft brought gentrification, but Amazon is clearly driving a totally different level of separation.
