I never claimed it was. I'd believe an introvert can approach girls at a club, but I feel like being able to do that basically means you're not shy. Otherwise, what does shy mean? You had a small bit of anxiety doing so? Doesn't everyone? E

And yet he's presumably able to pull these girls, in a wild extroverted setting like a club, where a girl is rarely alone, and competition is fierce. So he can't swim, but when he needs to get to the other side of the lake, he beats Michael

This is definitely me. I've been much more outgoing and social recently, to the point that people I've met have said "I wish I was as social as you, etc" but after a few weeks of this, I reached a point where I NEEDED a break. I coined it "

alpha/beta has gone much bigger than 4chan. I don't have the links on hand, but I've seen it in serious publications recently.

Here's the problem with that. After you've done this a few times, we start to associate you saying hi with you asking about some project, and begin to distrust your friendliness. Intentions tend to shine through.

What makes you so sure there is really a binary divide between introverts and extroverts? Even if it shows up on tests, whose to say that's not a learned behavior?

Patronizing comments like "Have you had enough quiet time today?" are anything but innocuous. That would be a huge red flag for me that the relationship is unhealthy. There's no reason to tolerate such overt disrespect.

If you can approach girls at a club by yourself, you're not shy. That doesn't make sense. I run marathons, but I'm not athletic. See the contradiction?

"limited time of sickness?" We're not talking about a cold here, amigo. We're talking serious illness like cancer. It may very well last years, or even take the person's life eventually.

Why stay on the treadmill for 45+ minutes? I like exercising, but that sounds like torture. I'd much rather do a short, intensive set of weight-lifting, an hour of yoga, or other things I actually find enjoyable in and of themselves. By all

Wow... interesting. For some reason I would have expected that discipline to carry over. How long were you in the army? I'd be interested in asking you a few questions if you're up for it.

I've been ending at least 80% of my showers with a minute or two of cold water since getting the 4 hour body a few months ago. It was definitely hard at first, then got easier, then got somewhat hard again (started to seem pointlessly masoc

Sure, but people manage to do it all the time. Like this girl on reddit today: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/hlgtb/iama_24_yo_girl_... Btw, I lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months, so I know what it's like. That said, once you make

Of course it does. The "geek's" stereotypical problems with women is a prison of his own design. Same with all sorts of health and diet issues.

You should definitely read "Stuck in the middle with Bruce," if you haven't. Fits perfectly with what you're describing. http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/misc/2005_Stuck_In_The_Mi...

Somewhat related, have you read "Stuck in the middle with Bruce?" http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/misc/2005_Stuck_In_The_Mi... Some people have a need to lose.

I liked him for awhile, but once he crossed the line into claiming we are all actually figments of his imagination (and not just as a thought experiment) I had to stop reading. I couldn't help but wonder who he was writing for at that point

It probably depends, but I'll add my 2 cents. Never done 200 hours of either in a month (really? 200 hours? that's insane), but after I went on my Dexter marathon, at least I'd seen Dexter. I still reference it all the time. The hours I spe

Likewise: If the thing that isn't legally available to you is "the best use of your limited time," then you should accept no substitute and acquire it anyway, as otherwise your limited time is being wasted. No?
